A positive club culture is the foundation of a strong, inclusive and sustainable sport and recreation sector. The Club Culture Assessment Tool (CCAT) has been developed by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) to help clubs better understand their culture, identify areas of strength and uncover opportunities for improvement. The tool explores key areas including welcoming communities, workforce and volunteers, and club growth and sustainability.

Originally developed in 2023, CCAT has been updated to provide more targeted insights and a simpler user experience and is now delivered through the Australian Sports Commission's Game Plan platform. Responses to the tool will also allow ORSR to gain a better understanding of the cultural issues facing South Australian sport and recreation and how ORSR could address and improve poor club culture.

We encourage all South Australian sport and recreation clubs to complete the assessment and use the findings to support their ongoing development.
