South Australian sporting, active recreation and fishing clubs are encouraged to apply for their share of more than $1.4 million through Round 56 of the Active Club Program.
From today, clubs can apply for grants of up to $3,000 to pay for essential equipment, small scale infrastructure upgrades, uniforms and other items that help them to meet the needs of players and members.
As part of this round, $200,000 has been allocated to a dedicated stream for recreational fishing clubs in recognition of the challenges they have faced due to the algal bloom.
In the previous round, 568 clubs shared in $1.34 million in funding to enhance the programs and services they provide within their local communities.
The State Government is committed to building a sport and active recreation sector that is diverse, equitable and sustainable, ensuring South Australians of all ages, abilities and backgrounds have the opportunity to get involved.
The grants help clubs deliver accessible and affordable opportunities for South Australians to participate in sport and active recreation while strengthening community health, wellbeing and social connection.
The Active Club Program supports the objectives of the ORSR 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, which aims to foster a sport and active recreation sector that is diverse, equitable and sustainable, while creating welcoming environments that encourage lifelong participation.
