On 8 July 2024, Mr Sal Perna AM commenced in his role as the State Government’s appointed Greyhound Industry Reform Inspector (GIRI). Mr Perna’s role is to monitor the implementation by the industry of recommendations arising from the Independent Inquiry into the Governance of the Greyhound Racing Industry.
The GIRI will make regular public progress statements throughout the two-year term.
